Hought bosals or hackamores are made from the finest quality rawhide and leather. Gail prides herself in never cutting corners in any area of design or workmanship. She uses three basic descriptions to describe these bosals/hackamores: working, fancy and collector sets. This bosal has a medium/stiff twisted rawhide inner core. It is 16 plait brandy kangaroo with a rawhide and brandy kangaroo nose button and heel knot.  The heel knot has their distinctive sterling silver concho with a raised sterling silver "H" on it.  The quality bosal hanger is slit braided in chocolate calfskin leather and features six sterling silver square ferrules marked 925 Sterling Mexico on the back side.  This is a pre-owned 5/8 inch diameter rawhide flexible core show quality bosal hackamore weighing 15.47 ounces including the hanger.   It measures 10-3/4 inches from the inside of the nose button to the inside of the heel knot.  The oval heel knot measures 2 inches by 2-1/2 inches at the widest part.  This bosal will make a great addition to your vintage show tack collection and will look great in any show ring setting.
Fancy sets are used in the show arena, used daily, and many times end up on the wall in the living room. The fancy bosal sets Gail Hought offers are bosals Gail has braided while in workshops with students.
