    Tara’s caramels are kettle cooked in small batches from a century old recipe. Grandma’s were so good, we didn’t change them.

    We use real butter, fresh heavy cream, and Madagascar vanilla. No high fructose corn syrup or fat fillers. We use Grandma’s same recipe from 100 years ago.

    Steps in Making The Best Caramel
    Ingredients Matters
    Sourcing fresh, premium ingredients is the starting point for craft caramels. We never substitute less expensive fats: real butter and heavy cream are brought in fresh. We source vanilla from Madagascar.
    Cooking it Right
    Caramelization takes a long time to occur, and it has to be at the right temperature. We cook in copper kettles over open flame so we can get it perfect. You'll taste the rich flavor and smooth texture that results.
    Cooled and Individually Wrapped
    After cooking, a batch of caramel is cooled and cut into bite-sized pieces. Finally, we wrap each piece in parchment paper so it's ready to enjoy.
