Description

The TayMac MR420CZ is an outdoor weatherproof, Extra Duty rated wall outlet enclosure that allows for power cables to be plugged in and used no matter the weather conditions. These recessed boxes feature a flat profile, are slim and sleek, and offer an attractive high-end look for the outside of any home or commercial building. They are compatible with all common siding types and materials such as vinyl, wood, stucco, brick/block, and can be mounted horizontally or vertically. The enclosure is brown in color, and includes electrical box, optional siding flange, and adapters for GFCI, Duplex, and Round outlets (receptacles not included).
Meets 2014 and 2017 NEC Electrical Code Extra Duty Requirements
The wall box meets 2014 and 2017 NEC Code 406.9 for receptacles being used in damp or wet locations. The cover meets the Extra-Duty requirements of a weatherproof enclosure even when the plug is inserted.  Extra duty also means that it can withstand several durability requirements including cycle testing the hinged door, rain testing, hot and cold testing. The cover also has to meet UL's Extra Duty requirements for impact testing, so you know that it can survive the rigors that any outdoor application can throw at it.
Durable Polycarbonite Cover is Weatherproof Even During Use
The cover resists rot, fading, and cracking in extreme temperatures. The enclosure mounts horizontally or vertically, and on a stud or in the wall. The inward depth is 2-3/4 in. for large plugs or cords, and has 21.0 cubic inch wiring capacity. The cover still retains its weatherproof rating even when the cord is plugged in. It is UL listed for USA installations, and cUL listed for Canada installations. The cover is paintable if you want to paint it the same color as the wall it is being installed on.
