This is a sterling silver black Greg Darnall Originals sweet iron bit with a correction port curb mouthpiece and 9 inch long loose jaw engraved silver cheeks.
The sterling silver is beautifully engraved as shown by the close-up photos.
This correction port curb bit is for horses that do not work well solid mouthpiece bits.  The 8-1/2 inch long shanks provide a lot of leverage, so this bit is for a finished horse.

This bit has -1/2 inch long cheeks, with a 3 inch purchase from the mouthpiece to the top of the rings for a 2.833 to 1 leverage ratio.  The mouthpiece is a 5 inches wide by 1/2 inch diameter sweet iron three piece correction mouthpiece.  The bit weighs in at 15.13 ounces and demonstrates perfect balance.  This bit will make a great addition to your working bit collection.
