1957 Studebaker Transtar Pickup. 259 V-8, 3 speed plus working overdrive. It runs excellent, does not smoke or drip oil. The truck is super dependable and 100% stock, never let me down. I have several old cars, so drove the truck minimal miles each year. As i get older it is more difficult for me to keep up all the cars, so I'm sadly letting this one go to a new owner. I have owned this truck for over 30 years. I've always kept it maintained and repaired as needed to make it dependable and always ready to go. The engine is tight and has no noises or faults. It is completely rust free and has always been a California truck. The paint is original, just worn. I've enjoyed the patina look and never had it painted.There is only surface rust and all the metal is strong! IUnfortunatly about 15 years back a lady backed in to my passenger door. I replaced it with a rust free, dent free door, just never got around to painting it. I have the original Studebaker radio that mounts under the dash. It comes with it. I also had a new windshield and rubber installed along with new side windows and whiskers this past year. Note: parts are readily available for Studebakers from several sources. I can supply a list. The truck is much too nice to sell too low! Its been in the family so long, I would make a planter out of it before I simply gave away. Ha ha
